 +Please also note that like in any wiki, the “search” field of Wikibadges can become a “Create” field to invite you to create a new page if the word you are searching for can’t be found in any content.

 +===== How to create a badge =====
 +
 +The field that you can use to create a new badge (badge class) can be found at the end of the first page. Please note that if you want to create a badge that will show in the English section of the site map (en/badge), you need to check that you are creating your badge using the "Add a badge field" on the English start page. If you wish to create, for example, a French version of your badge, view your badge page and click on the "fr” link which is located on the “Translations of this page” line in the upper right corner of the page.
 +
 +In short:
 +
 +  - When you open Wikibadges, check that the first page is the English start page. (If not, click on the en-link on the upper right corner of the page)
 +  - Give a name to your badge in the Add new badge field and click on the Add badge button.
 +  - Follow the instructions of the template page. Be careful not to change the structure of the page by writing your content in the instruction fields marked with a combination of the “/” and “*” characters or by erasing them.

 +===== How to issue a badge =====
 +
 +Wikibadges is a free, simple online collaborative tool to support the co-creation of badge contents (badge classes) by individuals and communities. Wikibadges is not a platform for issuing and managing badges. You can issue badges created in Wikibadges by copying and pasting them into your badge issuing platform. If your platform provides integration with Wikibadges, you should be able to browse Wikibadges and load the badge classes that you want to use for issuing badges.
